3 weeks!

So we made it through the first 3 weeks! It has been a bit tough at times, and some very sleepless moments but we have enjoyed every single min! We decided we will keep him! :)

He loves to sleep on his side just like mom, and he looks so comfy!

William arrived September 6th at 8:18 pm via c-section after 2 days of labor. 10 lbs 12 oz 21.5 inches long!

It's been a bit...time for an update

Life has been a little busy lately... let me give you an update!

In April I had a bought of high blood pressure that caused some pretty nasty swelling in the feet, as a precaution I was on bed rest for a week with my footsies in the air. The swelling subsided and everything went back to normal!

In May we found a great house, we made an offer and closed on our first house the end of May! We love our house and it fits us perfectly! Unfortunately we bought a house that had been foreclosed on we think about a year ago, so there were tons of cleaning, painting, and fixing we needed to do! We spent the first 2 weeks of June cleaning, painting and moving with the help of our wonderful family members. We were able to move in and now we live in a sea of boxes :)

We have been going in for regular checkups monthly and monitoring my blood pressure and my feet swelling. On this past Thursday we noticed that even with putting my feet up at night after work that the swelling was not going down day to day. We decided to call the doctor, we went in for another check up and found that my blood pressure was slightly high. I was given a modified bed rest and told to come back in one week...that was today.

Went back today for the follow up, my swelling has subsided, however a puffiness has stayed. My blood pressure had gone up in the 5 days since I had last seen the doctor. I have been put on bed rest again (with no end date at this time) and will be working from home as much as I can. I also will be going to the hospital twice a week for the next 3 weeks to have the baby monitored for 20-30 min each time, and ensure the blood pressure is not affecting the baby and that I am not having contractions.

I went this afternoon to have the baby monitored, and all is good, he did great! He had a wonderful strong heartbeat, and no contractions for me! The doctor was very happy, I just need to take my prescriptions for my heartburn and for the high blood pressure, and resume bed rest.

Ed and I set up the crib, and the bedding for the baby's room it looks great! We have just a few more pieces to add and it will be set! We took these pics with the phone so they are not great.

IT LOOKS LIKE A BOY.......maybe?

So we had the doc appointment yesterday. They say its a boy. Wooo Hooo. Eveyone has been asking us what we want. To be honest we would have been happy if it was a girl too. Although, she probably would have been a spoiled brat. Between the grandparents, the siblings, and extended family she would have been spoiled. Thats not to say he wont be spoiled either though. We soooo cant wait. We are thinking of going with fire engines for decoration.

The house is FINALLY starting to go some where. We ended up cancelling on the house on bury street. We found another house that was a little smaller but still nice for about the same. We should hear sometime this week or early next week. It would be nice to put our money into something we will own.

Almost half way!

Wow! 16 weeks, we are almost half way! We had a Dr appointment on Monday, and all was GREAT! With weeks of discussion and debate we have finally decided to find out if its a boy or a girl with our ultra sound. Maybe another time we can let it be a surprise! ;)

Our ultra sound is scheduled for early morning on April 20th! If I knew when I was making the appointment that I would have to drink 36 oz of water before hand...I would have scheduled a later appointment LOL! I have to be up at 630 in the morning just to drink water! This could be very interesting!

The Heartbeat

It's been a couple of days since our last Dr appointment, life has been crazy. We were able to hear the little ones heartbeat. The heartbeat was strong about 155 beats per min which is perfect! All is going well, we have another Dr appointment on the 30th. :)

We are still discussing if we should find out if its a boy or a girl, we like the idea of going with neutral colors, but it would also be nice to know. Good thing we still have time to decide.

We also found out recently that we are having a new addition to our new family! We are so excited! We had our first ultra sound Feb 10th and "alien" as we like to refer to it as was 9 weeks 3 days old, with a strong heartbeat! The picture is a little blurry.
